Week 2 Here We Go!

Here is week 2!

So preparing for the week, I began getting ready for Circle Time. Circle Time includes any activities where we get the kids talking. For example, the bible story (flannelgraph), songs, we discuss the calendar, days of the week, weather, manners, and this week we will play, "What's in the Bag?" I gathered random items from around the house and placed them in a bag and I will ask the kids questions about what they are? What are they used for?

For this weeks book, we are reading, Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? So the kids will listen to different sounds and see if they can guess what the object is.  On the second day, I have placed stuffed animals on the floor, where the kids will talk about he noises that those animals make.

We are continuing to focus on God's Creation, primarily days 3-5 where God created the plants and animals. So the first craft will be bird feeders, gotta love pinterest. I have gathered the necessary supplies such as stale bread, cheerios, string, and a pencil to make a hole in the bread. Kids will place the cheerios and bread on the string, and mommies will tie the strings to create bird feeders.

Going along with animal creation, the snack for the first day is peanut butter, celery, and animal crackers, which also matches our colors for the week: brown, yellow, and green.

Our craft for the second day is Sandpaper Rub. I gathered cookie cutters in the shapes of animals and plants. Then I traced the shapes to the back of the sandpaper, and cut them out. Then the kids will color over the sandpaper with crayons and create their image of God's Creation.

Here is the Lesson Plan for Week 2. I hope everything goes well!
