About Our Homeschool Co-op

We stumbled upon ABC Jesus Loves Me somewhat by accident. All four of us had expressed interest in homeschooling our preschoolers, and after reviewing a variety of "curricula" for little ones, this seemed to have everything we desired. We got together for a mom's night out one evening after putting all our littles to bed, and the ideas just started rolling. We decided to rotate homes each week to give the kids a change of scenery, and to share the prep duties. The host mom is responsible for preparing the week's lessons and snacks. She finds the required materials, has craft projects ready to go, and is "the teacher" for the week. Our school meets two days per week with the option of a 3rd day for "field trips" and park dates as we see fit. We have the additional challenge of four more children ages 18 months and under. To keep these little ones occupied, two moms will be on "baby duty" each week while two moms teach the preschoolers. The host mom is to set up stations of toys and activities for the babies in areas of her home that won't be a distraction to the big kids. Keep in mind, this is the "plan". But even the best plans sometimes crash and burn. We'll keep you posted.
